What is Object History?
Object History is an exploration of how data engineering approaches can be applied to the information connected to artworks and collection data.
Artworks exist within networks of relationships. They are connected to artists, galleries, collectors, exhibitions, locations, and historical events.
Understanding these connections requires exploring how this information is represented, structured, and connected across different sources.
Building the Foundation
Before exploring the data itself, I wanted to create a simple and sustainable platform for documenting the journey.
The website has been built using:
- Hugo for publishing
- GitLab for version control
- Cloudflare Pages for hosting and deployment
This is the beginning of the journey.
